Job Title: Field Service Technician
Job Description
The Overhead Door Technician will join our team to install and service various types of overhead door mechanics and systems. These include sectional, rolling steel, high speed, service and sliding doors, gate opening systems, operable partitions, and dock leveling systems. Product-specific training will be provided to ensure familiarity with our product lines. Candidates must be adaptable to all work environments and weather conditions, willing to work 40+ hours weekly, and possess a positive attitude. As the primary company representative on-site, punctuality, reliability, and professionalism are essential.
Responsibilities
+ Install and service overhead door systems and related equipment.
+ Work in diverse environments and weather conditions.
+ Represent the company positively at customer job sites.
+ Work overtime, weekends, and at various job sites as needed.
+ Ensure job site safety in accordance with company and customer requirements.
+ Organize job sites and maintain attention to detail.
+ Load and unload job site materials using hoists and slings when necessary.
+ Train and lead colleagues in job processes and procedures.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, design schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams.
+ Proficient in analytical and troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical components.
+ Experience with scissor lifts, high lifts, fork trucks, and other heavy equipment.
+ Job site organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to complete required training to gain access at local manufacturing sites.
+ Current or ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification.
+ Current or ability to obtain Association of Reciprocal Safety Council (ARSC) certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in commercial overhead door installation/service or relevant work experience is a plus.
+ ARC/MIG welding and metal fabrication skills.
+ Understanding of PLC functions (ladder logic/programming).
+ Understanding of relay logic circuit and 3 phase 480 volts.
+ Must be insurable by company’s insurance program to utilize company vehicles.
+ Valid driver’s license with strong driving record.
+ Possession or ability to obtain 'For Hire' endorsement.
+ Passing DOT physical and drug assessment.

Work Environment
This is a day shift position with a competitive pay range depending on experience. Rare overnight stays and Saturday work are expected. The role requires the ability to lift heavy materials overhead and work at heights, in all weather conditions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $65520.00/yr.
