    Job Title: EVS Housekeeping** **Job Description

     

    Perform all routine, terminal, and isolation cleaning tasks efficiently and timely, including high/low dusting, cleaning walls, ceilings, vents, lighting, restroom facilities, and floor care. Responsible for the removal and transportation of trash and medical infectious waste, and moving furniture and other equipment. Clean various areas such as emergency rooms, operating rooms, offices, public bathrooms, clinics, nurses' stations, and exam rooms.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct routine, terminal, and isolation cleaning.

    + Perform high/low dusting and clean walls, ceilings, vents, and lighting.

    + Clean restroom facilities and maintain floor care.

    + Remove and transport trash and medical infectious waste.

    + Move furniture and other equipment as needed.

    + Clean a variety of areas including emergency rooms, operating rooms, offices, public bathrooms, clinics, nurses' stations, and exam rooms.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

    + Capability to stand for 8 hours.

    + Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, hearing, and comprehending English.

    + Stable work history with a minimum of 6 months at a time in previous positions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Preferred six months of cleaning/housekeeping experience.

    + Experience as housekeeper, janitor, caregiver, custodian, or in environmental services.

    Work Environment

    Work at Kenosha Medical Center and St. Catherine's in Kenosha, WI. Collaborate with patients and hospital staff, frequently handling medical infectious waste. Engage in physical activities like pushing, pulling, and transporting heavy objects. Regularly change physical positions to clean various surfaces, occasionally climbing stepladders and performing repetitive hand/arm motions. Occasionally exposed to patient body parts while ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.

    This is a Contract position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $17.00/hr.
