    Job Title: Low Voltage Electrician** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Electrician to lead and manage a small crew in both residential and commercial settings. This role involves hands-on work, including new construction and service projects. The position requires a proactive individual who can work independently and collaboratively.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead, train, and manage a crew of 1-2 individuals.

    + Work independently when necessary.

    + Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

    + Troubleshoot and plan layouts for electrical systems.

    + Install, repair, and troubleshoot electrical and security systems.

    + Install and test CAT5e, CAT6, Fiber Optic, Coaxial, and various low voltage cabling.

    + Terminate fiber and copper cabling to industry standards.

    + Install limited energy cabling infrastructure for access control systems, IP CCTV systems, wireless networks, and intrusion detection systems.

    + Handle electrical systems including light fixtures, switches, alarms, and panel boxes.

    + Work with various types of piping, from metal to non-metal materials.

    + Perform rough-in to finished work and trenching/site work.

    + Communicate effectively with field and office personnel.

    + Adhere strictly to safety protocols.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of experience running a crew of at least 1-2 individuals.

    + 5+ years of experience in commercial and residential settings.

    + Blueprint reading and interpretation.

    + Troubleshooting experience.

    + Ability to train and develop helpers.

    + Ownership of hand and cordless power tools.

    + Valid driver's license and own vehicle.

    + Proper PPE including steel/plastic tip boots, hard hat, high visibility shirts/vest, safety glasses, and gloves.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification.

    + Journeyman Certification.

    + Bucket truck experience.

    Work Environment

    This role operates in both commercial and residential settings, requiring presentability and adaptability to varying weather conditions. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with opportunities for overtime and occasional Saturdays. Job sites are typically within 1.5 hours from Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
