    Job Title: Custodial Worker

     

    Pay: $16/hr

     

    Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday (off Thursay and Friday)

    Job Description

    The custodial worker is responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance, and other miscellaneous tasks to ensure that buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform general, routine custodial duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.

    + Conduct routine maintenance on custodial equipment and supplies.

    + Empty trash receptacles, dispose of trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bag trash for proper disposal.

    + Ensure common areas such as break rooms, lobbies, and kitchenettes are cleaned and stocked.

    + Maintain cleanliness of breakrooms.

    + Follow instructions regarding chemical use and workplace safety hazards.

    + Wash and buff floors, including those in the manufacturing facility.

    + Store cleaning materials and supplies safely and orderly.

    + Submit purchase requisitions and restock cleaning materials and supplies.

    + Report any potential food safety, quality, or food defense concerns to plant manager or quality personnel.

    + Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.

    + Adhere to all documented Good Manufacturing Practices.

    + Comply with all company policies and procedures.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to operate vacuums and related equipment.

    + Capability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.

    + Proficiency in using hand and power tools applicable to the trade.

    + Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.

    + Understanding of written and verbal instructions.

    Work Environment

     

    The role involves considerable physical activity requiring heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds. The work environment includes exposure to hazards or physical risks, necessitating adherence to basic safety precautions. Safety glasses and/or safety gloves may be required. The position may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises. High noise levels may require hearing protection.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Bridgewater, MA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
