    **Pay:** $17–$18 per hour

    **Shift:** Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

    **Hours:** Stable 40 hours per week

    **Location:** Westside Jacksonville, FL

    Job Description

    We are seeking a **Welder Assembler** to join our team in constructing safe rooms. This role primarily involves **MIG welding** with occasional **TIG welding** , along with general shop tasks such as drywall installation, painting, and panel building. You’ll work in a collaborative team environment and receive training to read and interpret drawings.

    Responsibilities

    + Construct safe rooms using MIG and TIG welding techniques.

    + Build wall panels and assist with drywall installation and painting.

    + Accurately measure and cut materials using hand and power tools.

    + Collaborate with a team of 4–6 members.

    + Read and interpret drawings (training provided).

    + Use a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch for precise measurements.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in MIG welding and ability to pass a weld test.

    + Experience in construction, assembly, fabrication, or shop settings.

    + Skilled in using hand and power tools.

    + Ability to read a tape measure and square accurately.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with chop saws, bandsaws, and shears is a plus.

    + Ability to perform mechanical assembly and heavy lifting.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
