Job Description
This position requires a skilled individual proficient in all phases of CNC lathe operations. You will be responsible for operating, setting, and editing programs for CNC lathes. The role involves physical activity such as lifting, bending, and spending significant time standing. Proficiency in performing mathematical tasks to compute angular and linear dimensions for part fabrication is essential.
Responsibilities
+ Operate CNC lathes efficiently and ensure precision in all tasks.
+ Set up and edit CNC lathe programs as required.
+ Compensate for material changes due to environmental factors to maintain tolerances.
+ Utilize geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
+ Handle various material types including stainless steel, Inconel, aluminum, and titanium.
+ Maintain close tolerances and produce quality work within +/- 2 thou.
+ Employ measuring tools accurately for precision machining.
+ Perform additional tasks such as deburring parts, checking coolant levels, and maintaining shop cleanliness.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in CNC setup and operation, particularly with VTL CNC and Vertical Turning Lathes.
+ Proficiency with Fanuc controls and CNC lathe programming.
+ Ability to proofread code and interpret blueprints.
+ Strong manual machining background.
+ Knowledge of trigonometry for accurate part measurement.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Capability to select appropriate tooling and perform hand-grinding.
+ Must provide personal measuring tools including dial calipers, outside micrometers, dial indicator with magnetic base, edge finder, 6” flexible scale, combination square, radius gauges, screwdriver set, pliers, and a 10” adjustable wrench.
+ Ability to work collaboratively and follow supervisor instructions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
