Job Title: Electrician** **Job Description

Electricians will be responsible for roughing in conduit and wiring new commercial buildings based on the plans and prints provided by the General Contractor (GC). These wires are typically terminated at switches, circuit breaker panels, and relays. Commercial electricians wire instruments that control the power, lighting, and heating units in buildings, as well as provide wiring for air conditioning and refrigeration units. The role involves using power tools, test meters, pipe threaders, and conduit benders.

Responsibilities

+ Rough in conduit and wire new commercial buildings as per the provided plans and prints.

+ Terminate wires at switches, circuit breaker panels, and relays.

+ Wire instruments controlling power, lighting, and heating units in buildings.

+ Provide wiring for air conditioning and refrigeration units.

+ Utilize power tools, test meters, pipe threaders, and conduit benders.

Essential Skills

+ Commercial experience in bending conduit or pipe and running wire.

+ Safety-oriented mindset with OSHA certification.

+ Proficiency with saws, drills, utility knives, ohmmeters, and testing tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with conduit, industrial construction, and installation.

+ Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.

+ Knowledge of switchgear, panel installation, and industrial wiring.

Work Environment

Work on commercial construction sites alongside General Contractors and other subcontractors. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BALDWINSVILLE, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
