Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for installing insulation materials on mechanical systems to control temperature and prevent energy loss. You will prepare surfaces, measure and cut materials, and ensure safety compliance while supporting experienced insulators.

Responsibilities

+ Apply insulation materials to pipes, ducts, and other mechanical systems.

+ Clean and prepare surfaces before applying insulation.

+ Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific dimensions and shapes.

+ Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

+ Assist experienced insulators with material handling, tool maintenance, and site cleanup.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in construction, labor, or related fields.

+ Knowledge of insulation installation and mechanical systems.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.

+ Ability to handle materials and perform physical tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Valid driver's license.

+ Ability to work from heights, up to 30 ft.

+ 1+ years of experience in construction, warehouse, or manufacturing industries.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM, with some variation. Commercial and industrial projects.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
