    Chemical Plant Technician

     

    Step into a hands‑on role where your work directly supports the production of specialty chemicals used in plastics and wastewater treatment. As a Chemical Plant Technician, you’ll be part of a tight‑knit team that values safety, teamwork, and continuous learning.

    What You’ll Do

    + **Keep plant operations running safely and efficiently** across utilities, bulk storage, and warehouse areas.

    + **Operate machinery and equipment** while performing routine tasks that support daily production.

    + **Monitor gauges, valves, and instrumentation panels** and communicate findings clearly.

    + **Handle and measure materials** , including 10‑kilo bags, using basic math to track plant data.

    + **Perform physical tasks** such as climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and moving between buildings in varying weather.

    + **Follow safety procedures and emergency protocols** to maintain a secure work environment.

    + **Collaborate with team members and leadership** through clear verbal and written communication.

    + **Use forklifts, scales, power tools, and hand tools** to support production and maintenance needs.

    + **Troubleshoot minor mechanical or electrical issues** to keep equipment functioning smoothly.

    What You Bring

    + **Experience with machine operation and mechanical processes** .

    + **Knowledge of chemical or batch mixing, blending, calibration, or material handling** .

    + **Comfort with physical work** including lifting, sealing, inspecting, and general labor.

    + **Background** **in process manufacturing** involving liquids, powders, or both.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chesterfield, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
