Job Title: Marine Electrician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Marine Electrician. The candidate will be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying equipment. The role involves providing technical support for shipboard systems and integrated systems at various locations, including company, customer, and field sites.
Responsibilities
+ Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify equipment.
+ Perform maintenance and technical support on shipboard systems and related equipment/software.
+ Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to resolve problems swiftly.
+ Interface with customers and manage subcontractors while providing work direction.
+ Develop and utilize technical documents, including controlled work packages and formal work processes.
+ Schedule, report, and brief customers and management.
+ Perform tasks outside of specialty to complete installations or work assignments.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in marine and ship repair, including working with valves, electrical systems, hydraulics, and diesel.
+ High School diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of related experience.
+ Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing structural and mechanical systems and associated equipment.
+ Proficiency in using various power tools and measurement devices.
+ Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and technical manuals.
+ Knowledge of safety and quality control procedures.

Work Environment
The position is based at Naval Station Norfolk, providing a unique opportunity to work in a naval environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Newport News, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
