Job Title: Structural Fitter

Job Description

Join a dynamic team at a mid-size pump manufacturing and services company as a Structural Welder/Fitter. In this role, you will be responsible for laying out and fitting up skids according to blueprints and isometric drawings. Your duties will include measuring, cutting, grinding, tack welding, and other fabrication tasks. Prior experience with fitting skids is essential.

Responsibilities

+ Lay out and fit up skids as per blueprints and isometric drawings.

+ Perform measuring, cutting, grinding, and tack welding tasks.

+ Handle large skid fabrication.

+ Work with materials such as beams, channels, angle iron, flat bar, and square tubing.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and ISO documents.

Requirements

+ 5+ years of structural fitting experience.

+ 5+ years of experience fitting beams, channels, angle iron, flat bar, and square tubing.

+ Expertise in large skid fabrication.

+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and ISO documents.

+ Experience with cutting torch, carbon steel, and Mig welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Structural welding experience.

+ Pipe fitting experience.

Work Environment

Work in a heavy fabrication environment without air conditioning. The facility is equipped with forklifts, overhead cranes, and various workstations. Employees work on skids with compressors or pumps mounted on them. Day Shift: 5:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime and weekend work as needed. Night Shift: 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime and weekend work as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Katy, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
