    Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist** **Job Description

     

    The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing parts, specialty hand tools, machine tools, materials, and equipment. This role involves preparing periodic inventories and maintaining accurate records both manually and by computer. The specialist will prepare inventory records and reports, investigate discrepancies, and update information in computer systems. Additional duties include receiving, unpacking, storing incoming parts and materials, and possibly moving or delivering parts using a hand truck. The specialist will also maintain a neat and organized stock room, prepare shipping documents, and may assist with operating an automatic floor cleaner as needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Receive, store, and issue parts, specialty hand tools, machine tools, materials, and equipment.

    + Prepare periodic inventory and maintain inventory of tools and equipment manually and by computer.

    + Prepare inventory records and reports and investigate discrepancies.

    + Update information in computer systems to maintain inventory records.

    + Receive, unpack, and store incoming parts and materials.

    + Move and/or deliver parts utilizing a hand truck.

    + Identify parts, tools, and equipment using ID tags, stamps, or electronic marking tools.

    + Maintain a neat and organized stock room.

    + Prepare shipping documents for shipping.

    + Assist with operating an automatic floor cleaner as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Document control

    + Inventory control

    + 2-3 years of experience in a steel maintenance repair facility

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Forklift certification

    + Driver's license

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
