    Mechanical Assembly Technician – Drone Production

    What You’ll Do

    + Perform **complex mechanical assemblies** using schematics, drawings, and detailed instructions.

    + Assemble and test avionics components, including PCB assemblies, cable harnesses, and integrated modules.

    + Apply precision adhesives and bonding techniques for high-quality builds.

    + Provide real-time feedback to Manufacturing and Quality teams to resolve assembly challenges.

    + Follow strict safety procedures and meet aggressive production deadlines.

    + Accurately record and update production data.

    What We’re Looking For

    + **Experience:** 2–3 years in mechanical or manufacturing assembly within a production environment.

    + **Skills:**

    + Proficiency in mechanical PCBA assembly

    + Use of hand/power tools (screwdrivers, torque drivers, drills, calipers)

    + Basic soldering and cable/harness routing

    + Ability to read SOPs, diagrams, and blueprints

    + **Tech Savvy:** Basic computer skills (MacOS or Microsoft).

    Work Environment:

    South San Francisco facility with four specialized areas:

    + **Nest:** Recovery systems, launch systems, and battery devices

    + **Vehicles:** Drone bodies and composite wing structures

    + **Logistics & Front Office:** Supporting operations and assembly teams

    **Team Structure:** Small, focused teams of 3–4 assemblers plus a team lead.

    This is a Contract position based out of South San Francisco, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
