    Job Title: Maintenance Foreman

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Foreman to oversee and lead maintenance operations. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in managing preventative maintenance, repairs, and maintaining facility safety standards. This individual must have plumbing maintenance and repair experience.

    Responsibilities

    + Supervise and provide guidance to a team of three maintenance technicians.

    + Ensure the safety and health of over 11 million guests annually and all facility staff within a 1.2 million square foot facility.

    + Conduct daily facility inspections and facilitate work plans with staff.

    + Manage building and grounds maintenance, including custodial services, sign management, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

    + Create and maintain system schedules for fire life safety, plumbing services, HVAC, and pest control.

    + Reduce costs and improve operational efficiencies by reviewing staffing and products.

    + Direct, coordinate, and plan essential services with external vendors.

    + Inspect and confirm work completion by staff and contractors, addressing any deficiencies.

    + Respond to emergencies or urgent issues, resolving problems directly or coordinating with vendors.

    + Issue disciplinary actions and provide counseling within the Facilities Management Department.

    + Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and utilize Microsoft Office programs.

    + Employ team-building techniques and demonstrate strong analytical skills.

    + Exhibit leadership skills to ensure operational success.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in maintenance supervision, including oversight of 3+ technicians.

    + Ability to effectively communicate and schedule projects between shifts.

    + Mechanical aptitude for tasks such as changing ballasts and using hand tools.

    + Knowledge in electrical, plumbing, preventive maintenance, and HVAC systems.

    + 4+ years of maintenance experience.

    + Experience working in varying weather conditions.

    + Ability to multitask and manage work order tickets.

    Schedule

    + Monday-Friday, the selected candidate may choose to work 6am-2:30pm, 6:30am-3pm or 7am-3:30pm.

    + May be called in to supervise / assist with emergency snow removal, although snow removal is contracted out to a third party.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The work schedule is Monday to Friday, morning hours. The environment is commercial, with no certifications, medical, DOT, licensing, or PPE requirements.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WASHINGTON, DC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
