Production Associate / Machine Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Production Associate to join our team in a private company specializing in the design and manufacture of advanced fuel systems, specifically CNG fuel storage systems/tanks for trucks and big rigs.

Responsibilities

+ Accurately interpret and prepare detailed work instructions and procedures.

+ Operate assembly tools, fixtures, and specialized equipment proficiently.

+ Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and best practices.

+ Assist with filament winding operations, including resin application and tool maintenance.

+ Support rotomolding processes through material preparation and boss recovery tasks.

+ Perform tank labeling and foam dome installation with precision and care.

+ Assemble and package products to meet or exceed quality standards and delivery timelines.

+ Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items.

+ Clean and lubricate equipment.

+ Load and provide raw materials, such as resin and paxon.

+ Support filament winding tasks such as resin squeezing, tool cleaning, and setting up floor mats.

+ Dispose of all scrap resin, fiber, and cardboards.

+ Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards.

+ Be flexible to work at different stations, including Rotomold Operator, Trailer Assembler, Tube Bending, and Adapter, Volumetric, EOL Domes/Labels.

Essential Skills

+ Mechanical inclination and machine operation.

+ At least 1.5 years of experience in production or manufacturing environments.

+ Proficiency with hand and power tools.

+ Experience with visual instruction sheets or blueprints is a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with materials such as resin, epoxy, composite, Kevlar, pre-preg, composite materials, fiberglass, and carbon fiber.

+ Knowledge of using a torque wrench is a plus.

+ Experience with visual instruction sheets or routers is beneficial but not mandatory.

Work Environment

Work in a very clean, large manufacturing facility with multiple machines running. The environment is comfortable and not too industrial. The standard shift is Monday to Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with the possibility of starting at 5 am to accommodate overtime needs. Overtime is mandatory and may involve 12-hour days and Saturdays. Steel-toed boots are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Forest, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
