Job Title: CNC Swiss Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Machinist for the 1st shift. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours from 6am to 2:30pm or 7am to 3:30pm, and we offer flexibility in scheduling. Some weeks will require 5-10 hours of overtime.
Responsibilities
+ Perform full setups and changeovers on Nexturn and Hanwha Swiss machines independently.
+ Execute production runs ranging from 50 to 5,000 pieces, as we operate as a job shop.
+ Complete 2-10 setups per week.
+ Read and interpret defense blueprints, with knowledge of GD&T symbols.
+ Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
+ Maintain tolerances as tight as +/.0001 of an inch (1/10,000).
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of experience setting up Swiss machines, preferably in Aerospace/Defense.
+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding GD&T symbols.
+ Experience with micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Hanwha and Nexturn machines is a plus.

Work Environment
Join a small to medium-sized machine shop with about 20 employees. Our facility is an older building but is well-lit, organized, and clean. We have approximately 40-50 machines, with around 30 being manual. As a family-owned business for over 50 years, we pride ourselves on quality and have never had parts returned. Our work in the Aerospace industry includes components in the Mars Rover and numerous satellites. The workspace is air-conditioned.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.
