    Job Title: Molding Operator** **Job Description

     

    As a Molding Operator, you will use molds, presses, and equipment to produce silicone rubber implantable medical device components. This role requires individuals who are comfortable working in a GMP clean room environment and have experience in production, general labor, or material handling.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate molding machines and equipment to manufacture silicone rubber implantable medical device components.

    + Perform quality checks and inspections of parts to ensure they meet set standards.

    + Handle small parts and maintain inventory records accurately.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve issues with injection molds and other production equipment.

    + Adhere to GMP protocols and clean room safety procedures.

    + Communicate effectively with team leads to report any production or equipment issues.

    + Label and assemble parts as required.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-3 years of experience in production, general labor, or material handling.

    + Comfortable working in a GMP clean room environment.

    + Experience with small parts or inventory management.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in medical device manufacturing.

    + Familiarity with GMP regulations.

    + Proficiency in using microscopes and small hand tools.

    + Molding operation experience.

    + Experience with brake press or any machine operation.

    Work Environment

    The work is conducted in an entirely clean-room environment with strict gowning protocols. Employees start in a 'gowning-up room' to clean their shoes and wear covers. Once permanent, they receive Crocs for clean room use. Each station is equipped with an injection molding machine, a computer, and a microscope station. Work is organized into shifts: 1st shift from 5 am to 1:30 pm, 2nd shift from 2 pm to 10:30 pm, and 3rd shift from 10 pm to 6:30 am. Overtime is available, including 8-hour shifts on Saturdays.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Lincolnshire, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.95/hr.
