Job Title: Fabricator TIG Welder** **Job Description
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Sheet Metal Shop Fabricator and MIG and TIG Welder with expertise in working with galvanized, stainless, and aluminum materials. Join a long-standing, family-owned mechanical contractor specializing in the design, fabrication, and installation of HVAC and dust collection systems, as well as specialty sheet metal products for commercial and industrial accounts.
Responsibilities
+ Perform day-to-day fabrication activities with galvanized sheet metal, stainless steel, and aluminum.
+ Ensure compliance with internal fabrication processes and industry standards.
+ Maintain quality standards for assigned projects.
+ Communicate effectively with the Shop Supervisor regarding schedule delays and rework.
+ Report damaged tools, materials, and equipment to the Shop Supervisor.
+ Comply with safety standards and protocols.
+ Perform layout, fabrication, and daily cleanup of workstations.
+ Conduct pickup and delivery of materials to and from job sites using a forklift.
+ Operate shop equipment, including shear, break, drive machine, spot welder, and forklift.
+ Develop sheet metal projects by analyzing work orders and calculating requirements.
+ Fabricate components by cutting, forming, and fastening pieces.
+ Verify results by inspecting and testing components.
+ Maintain a safe work environment by following procedures and legal regulations.
+ Keep equipment operating by troubleshooting breakdowns and performing maintenance.
+ Accurately track time per job.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3 years of fabrication experience, with a preference for 5 or more years.
+ Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and stick welding.
+ Ability to read blueprints or schematics and fabricate necessary components.
+ Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
+ Ability to read cut sheets and use a tape measure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret plans, specifications, and control drawings.
+ Effective communication skills for presenting information and responding to management inquiries.

Work Environment
Work in a family-owned and operated company with a team of 10 employees. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 6am to 2:30pm. The company is growing, providing a stable and supportive work environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
