    Job Title: Assembler

    Job Description

    The assembler will perform mechanical assemblies to build lawn care equipment such as aerators and blowers. Using hand and power tools, including power drills, torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and basic hand tools, the assembler will work from blueprints to complete either sub-assemblies independently or full assemblies in two-person teams. This role involves completing the full assembly of products from start to finish, with varying production targets depending on the assembly department.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform mechanical assembly of lawn care equipment.

    + Utilize hand and power tools effectively.

    + Read and interpret blueprints to complete assemblies.

    + Work independently on sub-assemblies or in teams for full assemblies.

    + Ensure excellent attendance with no more than one day missed per month.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with hand and power tools (6+ months).

    + 1+ year of hands-on mechanical assembly experience.

    + Ability to interpret blueprints.

    + Good attitude and effort in the workplace.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience or interest in automotive work, such as working on cars or lube/auto tech experience, is preferred.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a fairly laid-back, medium-sized shop that is climate-controlled and not noisy. The space is filled with products, but there is ample room to work. Assemblers may work alone or in pairs, with training provided by a dedicated trainer. The 1st shift runs from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with optional work on Fridays. The work pace may vary depending on production demands, with the owner occasionally visiting the floor to ensure productivity.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BLAINE, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
