    Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift - Biddeford, ME

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced 2nd shift forklift operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate a propane-powered forklift to efficiently move materials around the plant, load trailers, and perform other material handling duties. You will also conduct basic maintenance on the forklift, such as checking oil levels and performing safety checks. Additional responsibilities include maintaining general housekeeping standards and documenting work activities.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate a propane-powered forklift to move materials around the plant.

    + Load trailers and assist with material handling duties.

    + Perform daily basic maintenance on the forklift, including oil level checks and safety inspections.

    + Conduct general housekeeping and maintain cleanliness standards.

    + Document work activities and maintain accurate records.

    + Assist with order picking, shipping, and receiving as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Previous forklift experience (2 years).

    + Ability to work 2nd shift hours.

    + Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

    + Ability to read, write, and understand English.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in a large warehouse environment.

    + Familiarity with handling cardboard and other packaging materials.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a large warehouse environment where multiple forklifts operate simultaneously. The 2nd shift hours are from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Employees are required to wear high-visibility vests and steel-toed shoes.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Biddeford, ME.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
