    Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assembler to oversee the mechanical installation of machinery, ranging from single pieces to complete sorting systems. These systems include conveyors, screens, balers, robots, and optical sorters. You will receive hands-on training by traveling to sites and working alongside experienced mechanics. Your role will involve maintaining communication with customers regarding installations.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform mechanical installation of machinery and sorting systems.

    + Travel to various sites for installations and gain hands-on experience.

    + Work alongside veteran mechanics during installations.

    + Maintain communication with customers regarding installation progress.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in mechanical assembly using hand and power tools.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Experience in erecting, assembling, or installing heavy machinery.

    + Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

    + Solid verbal communication skills in English.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with large machinery such as sorting machines, labelers, conveyors.

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs.

    + Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.

    + Ability to work 60+ hour weeks when needed.

    Work Environment

     

    Work will be conducted on site at various client locations, both indoors and outdoors. The environment is industrial, with variable conditions, requiring adaptability and comfort in diverse settings.

    This is a Contract position based out of Delano, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
