    Maintenance Electrician

    Job Description

    The Maintenance Specialist ET is responsible for conducting planned maintenance activities, installing, maintaining, and operating all plant electrical systems, troubleshooting and programming PLCs, while adhering to all safety regulations and maintaining GMP and quality standards to ensure efficient production flow. This role requires a background in food manufacturing.

    Responsibilities

    + Install, maintain, and operate all plant electrical systems, including switch gear, high/low voltage systems, drives, parts, and lighting.

    + Set-up all electronic equipment for scheduled production runs.

    + Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all electronic equipment, such as wiring, scales, and metal detectors.

    + Troubleshoot and program PLCs and encoder systems, including wiring.

    + Conduct daily/weekly electrical preventive maintenance.

    + Fabricate custom electronic parts as needed.

    + Implement safety devices on production lines.

    + Complete required reports, such as preventive maintenance, work orders, and centerline reports, in English.

    Essential Skills

    + Electrical troubleshooting to diagnose, maintain, and repair industrial manufacturing equipment.

    + Preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is properly functioning and to limit downtime.

    + Experience with wiring and running conduit for special projects or installations.

    + Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics, and blueprints.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Minimum 1 year of electrical/electronic or related experience required.

    + PLC certification preferred.

    + Knowledge of plant safety, GMPs, and confined spaces.

    + Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English.

    + Familiarity with electronic testing equipment.

    + Understanding of planned maintenance.

    + Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and prints.

    + Capable of completing work and purchase requests.

    + Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakdale, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.17 - $40.17/hr.
