Job Title: HVAC Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing commercial HVAC systems, as well as troubleshooting and servicing refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

+ Diagnose, repair, maintain, and install commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, heat pumps, split systems, and ventilation equipment.

+ Troubleshoot and service refrigeration systems such as walk-in coolers, freezers, restaurant equipment, and ice machines.

+ Perform advanced troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components.

+ Conduct routine preventive maintenance and system performance checks.

+ Perform HVAC and refrigeration equipment installations, including setting units, brazing lines, evacuating and charging systems, and commissioning.

+ Complete light plumbing tasks as needed, such as condensate line repairs, drain line installs, or water supply connections for refrigeration and ice equipment.

+ Assist with ductwork modifications, equipment replacements, or renovation projects.

+ Complete scheduled and emergency service calls promptly and professionally.

+ Utilize diagnostic equipment including gauges, multimeters, leak detectors, and refrigerant recovery systems.

+ Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.

+ Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and part usage logs.

+ Communicate findings, repair options, and cost-effective recommendations to customers.

+ Work closely with dispatch, project managers, and fellow technicians.

+ Maintain a clean and organized service van, tools, and workspaces.

+ Adhere to all safety standards, building codes, and EPA regulations.

+ Properly handle and recover refrigerants per environmental requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
