Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk** **Job Description

Join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk where you will play an integral role in ensuring our production processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for tasks related to packing finished products, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and assisting with production operations in a refrigerated facility.

Responsibilities

+ Set up inspection bins and trash cans before production starts.

+ Squeegee standing water on the floor before production begins.

+ Pack finished products into boxes according to specified sizes.

+ Inspect bags for nonconforming seals.

+ Report any issues with sauce in bags to the Machine Operator, Supervisor, or QA.

+ Notify QA/Operator of any irregularities with the bag/product.

+ Verify print information such as date, lot, and line.

+ Open bags with bad seals when the line is down.

+ Assist in other tasks when production lines are down.

+ Clean the work area during line downtime and assist in daily sanitation of the packing room.

+ Clean tools before use and wait for QA swab test results.

+ Use the correct amount of product as calculated by the blending calculator.

+ Ensure products with HOLD labels are not used until cleared.

+ Notify QA of any product discoloration, foreign materials, or reliability issues.

+ Maintain a clean work area to prevent product accumulation and accidents.

+ Open product boxes on a pallet with a slip sheet, replacing the sheet when dirty.

+ Do not reuse soiled or damp totes.

+ Report lost items that may have fallen into the product.

+ Keep products covered to prevent contamination.

+ Use a blue brush to clean equipment between different product types and at the end of the shift.

+ Assist in cleaning the repacking room when necessary.

+ Preferably 1-2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry.

Work Environment

You will work in a refrigerated environment and occasionally enter the freezer. The work shift is Monday through Friday, starting at 6:30 AM and continuing until tasks are completed. Proper dress code and footwear are required to ensure safety and compliance with food safety standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elizabethtown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
