Overview

We are hiring multiple machine operators to join a leading automotive manufacturer located in St. Charles, IL. Work in a state-of-the-art cleanroom environment, operating automated machinery to ensure high-quality manufacturing of components such as power window switches and push-to-start buttons. This role is essential in maintaining the continuous flow of production.

Responsibilities

+ Operate automated machinery to execute manufacturing procedures.

+ Follow specific verbal and/or written instructions and standard work protocols.

+ Make routine equipment adjustments for measurable variables like length and temperature.

+ Load raw materials, perform minor changeovers, and monitor machine operations.

+ Inspect completed parts to ensure adherence to job specifications.

+ Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift.

+ Keep detailed activity logs.

+ Participate in cross-training activities as needed.

+ Support and engage in continuous improvement efforts within the management and quality system.

+ Report any problems or non-conforming product to the supervisor.

+ Adhere to the Environmental policy related to work activities.

+ Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the job.

Essential Skills

+ 2 year of previous production, inspection, or machine operating experience.

+ Ability to read, write, and speak English.

+ Comfortable standing for the entirety of an 8-hour shift.

Work Environment

The St. Charles facility spans over 350,000 square feet and employs around 250 individuals across production and warehouse departments. The cleanroom production areas, including PSS, ECU, and SMT, require adherence to GMP protocols, including wearing gowns, hairnets, and shoe covers. The workspace is clean, organized, and climate-controlled, resembling a hospital environment. The warehouse departments, including shipping, receiving, and materials management, do not require GMP adherence but do require steel toe shoes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.00/hr.
