Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Filler Operator to join our B/D team on a 5pm-5am, 2/2/3 schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating filling and packaging equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with GMP and HACCP/FDA regulations.
Responsibilities
+ Operate filling and packaging equipment, including completing daily and weekly preventative maintenance.
+ Adjust and align all primary functions of the machinery.
+ Make minor mechanical repairs and replace certain defective parts.
+ Set up jobs on machines by feeding containers onto conveyor line and keying in product information into computer systems.
+ Conduct quality audits on filled products to ensure maximum/minimum fill lines are achieved.
+ Assist in packing and production at the end of each line as required.
+ Stop machines for clean in place (CIP) procedures and perform mechanical breakdowns.
+ Maintain compliance with all GMP and HACCP/FDA regulations, including daily production records and quality reports.
+ Assist in training production assistants with GMP and safety rules.
Essential Skills
+ Experience as a Machine Operator, Packaging Operator, or Filler Operator.
+ Knowledge of processing machines in food manufacturing.
+ Familiarity with GMP and HACCP regulations.
+ Experience with food processing machines and production line operations.
+ Ability to use hand tools efficiently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in a mechanical role such as diesel mechanic, automotive mechanic, mechanical assembler, or maintenance.
+ Prior food manufacturing or machine operating experience is preferred.
+ Ability to interview well and present a good work history with attention to detail.
+ Willingness to learn and be trained on hand tool experience.

Work Environment
The work environment is located in the loudest part of the facility with food processing platforms in close proximity, creating a constant hum. Hearing protection is required. The area can get warm during the summer due to machinery and minimal climate control, with strong smells of sauce-based food products. Training can be scheduled based on the contractor’s preference, and orientation is held every Tuesday at 10 am for about 3 days.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.48 - $22.48/hr.
