    Job Title: Manufacturing Associate

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Threader Operator to join our team. This role involves inspecting, sorting, and packaging various thread types and classes. You will be responsible for handling materials on inspection tables, maintaining equipment, and accurately recording production statistics while ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Inspect and sort designated thread types and classes for packaging and shipping.

    + Handle material movement on inspection tables.

    + Form and label containers, load counted products into them, and seal containers.

    + Place sealed containers on shipping skids.

    + Maintain packing and threading equipment in operating condition and coordinate with the team to maximize efficiency.

    + Accurately record all required production and inspection statistics.

    + Keep work area clean and orderly, adhering to health and safety protocols.

    Essential Skills

    + General labor experience

    + Proficiency with hand tools

    + Experience in packaging and production

    + Ability to use a tape measure

    + Capability to perform heavy lifting

    + Experience in a manufacturing environment

    + Inspection and quality control skills

    + Experience with unloading and deburring

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Entry-level candidates willing to learn more about manufacturing.

    + Attention to detail and a team-focused mindset.

    + Previous manufacturing experience may be helpful.

    Work Environment

     

    You will work in a high-speed, industrial steel manufacturing facility that operates from 9am to 5pm. The environment is fast-paced, often involving tube mills, heavy machinery, and material handling equipment. Expect to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials (50+ lbs), and work in noisy, dusty areas with temperature fluctuations. Some buildings can be cold and drafty in winter, especially in shipping and receiving areas. Teamwork and collaboration across departments are essential in this physically demanding environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL 61109.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
