Job Title: 2nd Shift General Production Worker** **Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated general production worker to join our team in the manufacturing of metal wire and bar products within the fastener industry. This position involves operating manufacturing equipment during the 2nd shift from 3:30 pm to 1:00 am, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of heavy overtime on weekends.

Responsibilities

+ Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with prints and specifications.

+ Manage equipment such as wire drawing equipment, grinders, mills, annealing furnaces, and similar machinery.

+ Produce the required quantity of material within established specifications and tolerances.

+ Measure finished parts with precision tools, ensuring they meet function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.

+ Maintain logs and records of units produced, including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded material.

+ Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.

+ Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

+ Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ At least 1 year of general production work or general labor experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

+ Ability to follow directions and work independently and in a team.

+ Thorough understanding or ability to quickly learn production equipment.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Understanding and ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.

+ Proficiency in reading and understanding instructions in English.

+ Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with managers and coworkers.

+ Commitment to maintaining quality practices and safety standards.

+ Willingness to work overtime as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Must be able to closely follow instructions and read documents.

+ Steel-toed footwear required.

Work Environment

The role is set within a very industrial work environment. The 2nd shift runs from 3:30 pm to 1:00 am, Monday to Friday, with heavy overtime on weekends. Adherence to the attendance policy is crucial. Steel-toed footwear is required for safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
