    Job Title: Quality Inspector** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector with an A&P license and substantial experience in a repair station setting. This role involves thorough inspection of aircraft maintenance from nose to tail, ensuring adherence to engineering drawings and blueprints.

    Responsibilities

    + Inspect government aircraft undergoing various upgrades and modifications.

    + Ensure structural and electrical modifications comply with engineering blueprints and schematics, including materials incorporated per the BOM.

    + Author engineering change requests as required.

    + Complete required aircraft releases for modifications and airworthiness.

    + Author documentation related to STC installations.

    + Perform weight and balance assessments according to the POH.

    + Review ADs and SBs to ensure compliance when necessary.

    + Update and review aircraft life-limited items per the manufacturer's AMM Chapter 4.

    + Brief and debrief the flight crew during calibration flights.

    + Inspect all fabricated parts, both mechanical and electrical, per engineering blueprints and schematics.

    + Conduct First Article Inspections in accordance with repair station quality standards.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of experience in aircraft quality inspection, focusing on airworthiness and return to service.

    + A&P license.

    + Experience in a repair station setting.

    + Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings.

    + High school diploma or GED.

    + Flexibility with work shifts.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Background in aircraft manufacturing.

    + Experience with STC installations and aircraft life-limited items.

    Work Environment

    The role involves working in a fast-paced hangar environment within a 145 repair station. Standard dress code applies, including jeans, a t-shirt, and steel-toed shoes. The work schedule is Monday through Friday during the day, but due to increased workload, we are now operational 7 days a week with an additional night shift from 3:30 PM to 2:30 AM. Candidates must be adaptable and open to flexible shifts.

    This is a Contract position based out of Hagerstown, MD.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $48.00/hr.
