Job Title: Flat Laser Operator** **Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Flat Laser Operator, where you'll play a crucial role in machining and metal fabrication. This position offers an exciting opportunity in a family-owned company with over 40 years of industry experience. We're looking for individuals to fill new positions due to company growth and new equipment being added to our state-of-the-art 71,000 square foot facility.
Responsibilities
+ Produce parts and tools from metal or other materials using a Laser, a computer numeric controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision cuts into material.
+ Review blueprints for the finished product, adjust the machine to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut.
+ Ensure machines are set up properly, working efficiently, and producing quality products.
+ Maintain machines at full capacity, stocked with necessary materials, and perform periodic checks on output.
+ Inspect the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production.
+ Operate flat laser machinery daily to produce parts.
Essential Skills
+ At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing work history.
+ 1 year of experience operating a flat laser machine.
+ At least 3 years of experience with production equipment/machinery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Blueprint reading experience.
+ Strong math skills and attention to detail.
+ Experience operating CNC equipment, machine operation, assembly, hand grinder.
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent.
+ Strong communication skills for teamwork and problem-solving.
+ Self-motivated and willing to stay busy even when tasks are completed.
+ Attention to detail with quality and safety consciousness; experience with micrometers, calipers, depth gauges.
+ Ability to analyze blueprints and knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
+ Aptitude for math, problem-solving, and computer skills.

Work Environment
Work in a job shop environment with a focus on the automotive industry and other large companies. Collaborate with welders in a fast-paced yet easy-going atmosphere. The position operates on a 1st shift, Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with occasional Saturday hours from 6 AM to 10 AM as needed. The dress code includes jeans, a shirt, and steel-toed boots, with uniforms provided once hired directly.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marion, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
