    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our dynamic team in an aerospace machine workshop. This position requires an individual with the ability to operate CNC and manual lathe machines, ensuring precision and quality in every task.

    Responsibilities

    + Notify supervisor of abnormal situations for corrective action.

    + Make recommendations for improvements in methods of performance of work.

    + Maintain good housekeeping conditions and enforce safety practices.

    + Complete and maintain any required documentation.

    + Run multiple machines simultaneously, ensuring efficiency and productivity.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong Geometric Dimensional & Tolerances and math skills.

    + Ability to read machining CNC programs and have a basic understanding of common 'G' and 'M' codes.

    + Experience with Siemens controls for lathe machine tools.

    + Understanding of basic tabletop gages – Micrometers, Calipers, the person gages, bore micrometers.

    + Capacity to run multiple machines at once is a MUST.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Prefer candidates with a few years of on-the-job training or machine shop experience.

    + Good verbal and written communication skills.

    + Strong organization and time management skills.

    + Problem-solving and analysis abilities.

    + Swiss lathe experience with more than 5 years on the machine is advantageous.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in an aerospace machine workshop with shifts available on weekdays and weekends, including night shifts. Operate advanced machines such as Okumas, Multi Spindles, and Manual Machines, using technologies like Siemens and Fanuc controls. Embrace a culture of safety, precision, and continuous improvement.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tukwila, WA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
