    Job Title: Electrical Assembler** **Job Description

     

    As an Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for building both electrical and mechanical assemblies from detailed production drawings as well as prototype drawings. You will prepare as-built drawings, packing lists, and quality control documentation, perform quality control on components and assemblies, and test electrical and mechanical assemblies. Additionally, you will assist in updating the quality assurance program and documentation, following manufacturing best practices for marine environments and robotic systems, and design, set up, and maintain dedicated workstations and tools. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the shop and inventory is also part of the role.

    Responsibilities

    + Build electrical and mechanical assemblies from production and prototype drawings.

    + Prepare as-built drawings, packing lists, and quality control documentation.

    + Perform quality control on components and assemblies.

    + Test electrical and mechanical assemblies.

    + Assist in updates to the quality assurance program and documentation.

    + Follow manufacturing best practices for marine environments and robotic systems.

    + Design, set up, and maintain workstations and tools.

    + Maintain, clean, and organize the shop and inventory.

    Essential Skills

    + Approximately 2 years of hands-on experience with mechanical and low voltage systems.

    + Proficiency with small hand and power tools.

    + Familiarity with mechanical and electrical assemblies.

    + Ability to work with minimal direction while knowing when to ask for input or help.

    + Positive and hardworking attitude; ability to function well with a team and remain calm under pressure.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with electrical and electromechanical assembly build-out and testing.

    + Experience with machine tools (mill, lathe, etc.) is a plus.

    + Experience in TIG or MIG welding aluminum is a plus.

    + Associate’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, marine engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

    Work Environment

     

    Work the first shift from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, in a very clean and temperature-controlled facility.

    This is a Contract position based out of Monroe, NJ.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
