Job Title: Shop Laborer
Responsibilities
+ Clean welds on parts using weld cleaning unit with mild acid.
+ Rinse and neutralize welds to ensure cleanliness before shipping.
+ Assist in preparing parts coming off machines for processing.
+ Wash and lift parts up to 50lbs frequently.
+ Utilize hand-held grinders for grinding, polishing, and finishing parts.
+ Read and interpret basic blueprints if necessary.
+ Stack parts on carts and pallets.
+ Sort items into inventory using a cart.
+ Use small pencil grinders for detailed work.
+ Perform repetitive tasks with up to 100 parts at a time.
+ Take care of various shop tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Deburring and grinding experience.
+ Ability to perform shop labor duties reliably.
+ Experience with cleaning parts and general labor tasks.
+ Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
+ Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Work Environment
The facility is very clean, climate-controlled, and well-lit. Work on the production floor alongside approximately 15 other employees. Although you will be the only person in this department, you will be within close proximity to others. The shift is from 7:00am-3:30pm, with potential overtime until 5:30pm and occasional mandatory shifts on Saturdays from 7:00am-12:00pm. Be open to working up to 55 hours a week during busy seasons.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frankfort, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
