    Job Title: Forklift Operator

    Job Description

    As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the accurate storing, shipping, and receiving of products, ensuring all company standards of safety, security, and productivity are met. You will operate a forklift to facilitate the safe, orderly, and efficient movement of products. This position requires the ability to support various locations based on business needs.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate a forklift to store, ship, and receive products accurately.

    + Ensure all products are free of damage and infestation.

    + Record production code dates properly.

    + Perform accurate checking or counting of products.

    + Adhere to safety, security, and productivity standards.

    + Support various locations as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to read and write English.

    + Good communication skills.

    + Strong organization skills.

    + Team player mentality.

    + Previous forklift experience preferred.

    + Forklift certification preferred.

    + Self-motivation and prompt regular attendance.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to lift or transfer weights as required.

    + Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment involves a warm setting in the summer and cold conditions in the winter, maintaining temperatures around 45 degrees. The facility is clean and operates at a very fast pace. Employees are expected to wear warehouse-appropriate attire, including closed-toe and closed-heeled shoes. Flexible shifts are available, including options such as 7pm-5am Monday-Thursday, 10pm-6am Sunday-Thursday, and 4pm-12am Monday-Friday. Training is held in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with a training schedule from 7:00am to 3:00pm before transitioning into a chosen shift.

    This is a Contract position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
