    Job Title: Safety Technician

    Job Description

    in Chemicals and/or Safety Management to join our team. Ideally, candidates will have experience in a manufacturing environment, such as machining, aerospace, or automotive, but warehousing experience is also acceptable. This role is perfect for individuals with at least two years of relevant experience.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct chemical waste auditing and disposal.

    + Ensure accessibility to safety-specific equipment by clearing blockers.

    + Support the replacement of hazardous waste receptacles.

    + Occasionally operate a forklift for major waste and/or chemical movement.

    + Perform deploy and put away activities for hazardous chemicals.

    + Assist in revising and deploying updated job safety assessments.

    + Engage in general shop organization activities to improve egress, ingress, and accessibility across the program.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in production planning and scheduling.

    + Proficiency in inventory management.

    + Strong knowledge of health and safety practices, including safety management and chemical waste auditing.

    + Understanding of EHS (Environmental Health and Safety), OSHA regulations, and environmental health standards.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in Chemicals and/or Safety Management.

    + Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but warehousing experience is acceptable.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is partially climate-controlled; it can get warm in the summer, but large fans are available for comfort. All necessary tools are provided, and the atmosphere is highly collaborative.

    This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
