Job Summary:
**Crane Aerospace & Electronics internship** programs give you the chance to work on a variety of critical business assignments, test your skills, use your academic knowledge and match your interests to a real job.
The Sales & Customer Administration Intern will develop knowledge about the business through exposure to a functional area (customer support, contracts, engineering, and lean principles ). The Sales & Customer Administration Intern will focus on developing the skills necessary for success by assisting employees with day-to-day job assignments. The Sales & Customer Administration Intern may be assigned to additional training or project work. The Company's internship program is intended to provide students from diverse backgrounds with the opportunity to practice business skills learned in school while gaining work experience.
Essential Functions:
+ Handle projects or some of the work normally performed by an entry-level, professional employee
+ Work with other members of the department to learn how the department functions within the company
+ Work with other employees in different departments to learn how other departments operate within the company
+ Attend seminars and meetings as assigned.
+ Specific Projects include:
+ Working with the Customer Facing Team to develop a new process for receiving returns
+ Working with the Finance team to help develop a process for reversing quality debits
Minimum Qualifications:
**Experience:** Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in marketing, business or communications or a graduate degree. Students in the process of earning a graduate degree in business management are preferred.
Skills:
+ Must be project-oriented and be able to multi-task
+ Knowledge/proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Access
+ Excellent aptitude for data collection, analysis and conducting market research
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
+ Self-motivated and presents a positive attitude in dealing with customers and co-workers
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
+ Analytical, comfortable with numbers and making data-based decisions.
+ Ability to fulfill a one quarter or semester **internship** commitment, 40 hours per week
**Education/Certification** : Must provide GPA, minimum accepted 3.1 on a 4.0 scale.
**Eligibility Requirement:** _This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)._
Working Conditions:
+ Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, heel straps, and shop coats
+ Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires using a computer for possibly up to 8 hours a day.
