    Resp & Qualifications

    PURPOSE:

    Manage the Sales Compensation and Broker Administration teams responsible for processing internal sales incentives, administering broker contracts and compensation programs, and delivering sales reporting and forecasting analysis. This role ensures accurate and timely execution of compensation and incentive programs, maintains operational excellence, and provides analytical insights to support sales force effectiveness and business decision-making.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    _Team Leadership & Development:_

    + Supervise and develop the Sales Compensation and Broker Administration teams, including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.

    + Set clear performance expectations, provide regular coaching and feedback, and conduct performance reviews.

    + Foster a collaborative team environment focused on accuracy, timeliness, and customer service.

    + Develop team member capabilities through training on systems, processes, regulations, and industry best practices.

    + Manage workload distribution, prioritization, and resource allocation to meet deadlines and service level agreements.

    _Sales Incentive Administration:_

    + Drive incentive strategy & design annually to ensure alignment with corporate financial plan and strategic priorities.

    + Drive culture of continuous improvement by reviewing processes, eliminating unnecessary works and driving automation across the incentive management process.

    + Resolve incentive disputes and inquiries from sales representatives, escalating complex issues as needed.

    + Maintain compensation system data integrity, including sales crediting rules, territory assignments, and quota allocations.

    + Support annual incentive plan changes, including recommending changes, modeling impacts, getting changes approved, testing, and communicating the plans (P4Ps) for signature.

    _Broker Incentive Management:_

    + Administer broker commission structures, bonus programs, and incentive campaigns across all product lines.

    + Calculate and process and performance-based broker incentives accurately and on schedule.

    + Maintain broker compensation grids, commission schedules, and incentive program documentation.

    + Coordinate bonus/incentive campaigns and track performance against program goals.

    + Handle broker bonus/incentive inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies in partnership with Sales and Finance teams.

    + Ensure broker compensation practices comply with state regulations and CMS guidelines.

    _Broker Contract Administration:_

    + Manage broker contracting processes, including agreement execution, amendments, and terminations.

    + Maintain broker contract templates, including General Agency, Group Producer and General Producer agreements.

    + Maintain all Broker Manuals including Producer Manual, Administrator Guidebook, Small Group Eligibility Guidelines and the Individual Market Manual.

    _Sales Reporting & Forecasting:_

    + Develop and deliver regular sales performance reports, dashboards, and metrics for leadership and sales teams

    + Create ad-hoc reports and analysis in response to business inquiries and strategic initiatives

    + Monitor key performance indicators related to sales productivity, compensation expense, and broker engagement

    + Create and support dashboard needs across broker administration, sales compensation and broker service.

    _Process Management & Improvement:_

    + Document and maintain standard operating procedures for all incentive and broker administration processes.

    + Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements and automation to enhance accuracy, speed, and user experience.

    + Establish quality control mechanisms to minimize errors and ensure data integrity.

    + Participate in system implementation projects, providing requirements definition, testing, and user acceptance.

    + Track and report on departmental metrics, service levels, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    _Stakeholder Collaboration:_

    + Serve as point of contact for sales leadership, brokers, and internal departments on compensation and administration matters

    + Collaborate with Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Compliance to resolve cross-functional issues

    + Communicate policy changes, process updates, and system enhancements to affected stakeholders

    + Participate in sales meetings and broker events to address questions and build relationships

    + Escalate systemic issues and improvement recommendations to senior management

    Qualifications:

    **Education:** Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

    **Experience:** 5 years progressive experience relating to data analytics/data analysis. 1-year Supervisory experience or demonstrated progressive experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Demonstrated experience with incentive compensation plan administration and commission processing.

    + Strong knowledge of health insurance products, distribution channels, and broker relationships.

    + Proven ability to manage teams, prioritize competing demands, and deliver results under tight deadlines.

    + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.

    + MBA or Master's degree in relevant discipline.

    + Experience with incentive compensation management systems.

    + Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud.

    + Knowledge of ACA regulations, MLR requirements, and state insurance department rules governing producer compensation.

    + Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and SQL database queries.

    + Ability to motivate, develop, and hold team members accountable for performance.

    + Strong quantitative aptitude with attention to detail and accuracy in complex calculations.

    + Proactive approach to identifying issues and developing practical solutions.

    + Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

    + Commitment to delivering high-quality service to internal and external customers.

    + Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across departments.

    + Comfort with technology systems and ability to learn new platforms quickly.

    + High ethical standards and discretion when handling sensitive compensation information.

    + Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and business needs in a fast-paced environment.

    **Salary Range:** $126,800 - $235,373
