Patient Care Technician II - Emergency Department - Full Time - Days

Job Summary

Under the direction of a charge nurse, the Patient Care Technician II assists the nursing staff in provision of basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients.

Core Job Responsibilities

+ Responds to any patient call lights

+ Gives status report of patient to appropriate personnel

+ Performs documentation duties on unit, which is timely, comprehensive, and concise, in order to provide accurate information

+ Assists with personal hygiene

+ Assists with activities of daily living and mobility

+ Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment

+ Perform other duties as required

Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:

+ High School graduate or equivalent

+ 1 year experience in related field

+ Completion of a Phlebotomy Course
