Summary/Objective:
Ship, receive, store and distribute material, goods and products within established procedures. Maintains records and logs. Provides status reports of items due. Verifies shipment quantities, lot numbers, and part numbers and corrects discrepancies. Prepare and distribute shipping and receiving reports to required departments such as Accounting, Production Control, etc. Deliver and pick up equipment, supplies etc. upon written request from maintenance, purchasing or manufacturing. Acts as backup to Lead person. Updates and maintains Symix computer system data and reports as applied to shipping and receiving. Communicates with vendors and carriers regarding shipments, ship dates and specifications. Prepares manifests, bills of lading, packing slips and other paperwork required for shipping. Troubleshoot problem shipments and receipts. This is a full-time position. Hours of work may vary dependent on operational needs.Schedule Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00AM to 6:30PM.
Core Job responsibilities:
1. Receives shipments from outside suppliers. Verifies actual shipment against documentation. Processes transactions in Syteline computer system.
2. Stores material, goods and supplies in the warehouse area in an orderly fashion allowing for appropriate rotation and proper security.
3. Fills requisitions, work orders or requests and conveys material, goods equipment and/or supplies from the warehouse area to production or other designated areas.
4. Prepares orders for shipment. Verifies counts, lot numbers, part numbers and paperwork for packages and corrects and discrepancies. Packs material per specifications and seals and labels package.
5. Processes requisite paperwork for shipments including packing slips, bills of lading, manifests, UPS log etc. Arranges shipments through various carriers in the most cost efficient and timely manner.
6. Processes all receipt, movement and shipment of production material, parts and product through the Syteline computer system and prepares and distributes required reports.
7. Works with various vendors and carriers to ascertain status of shipments and orders and provides information upon request to internal departments and outside customers. Troubleshoots problems related to shipments or receipts.
8. Picks up items from local vendors. Operate forklift to load, unload and transport shipments and other items to required locations.
9. Works as an active team member by participating in problem solving, team building, and all other team activities to improve the processes, productivity, quality, etc. of the shipping and receiving operations. Uses interpersonal skills as well as good written and verbal communications. Assists and collaborates with others in department as required.
10.May be required to perform other jobs as needed by the Company.

Work Environment:
1. Environmental Surroundings -Work is in a machine shop environment where noise, temperature fluctuations, the repetitive nature of the job, etc. are less desirable than a typical office environment.
2. Unavoidable Hazards -Possible hazards related to cuts, bruises, finger and hand injuries, and muscle strains. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, metalworking fluids, and airborne particles. Appropriate protective wear regarding eye, ear and clothing are required.
