Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Software Development Lead to support our Army customer in Huntsville, Alabama. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with leadership capabilities, holding an active Security+ certification and demonstrating proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies. This position requires on-site presence in Huntsville, Alabama.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

+ Lead and mentor a team of software developers for application development and maintenance

+ Oversee the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment

+ Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies

+ Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and project scope

+ Ensure adherence to security protocols and compliance standards

+ Conduct code reviews and maintain development best practices

+ Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and delivery commitments

+ Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide architectural guidance

+ Coordinate with cross-functional teams

Required Qualifications:

+ Security+ Certification (Active and Current), required

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

+ 5+ years of software development experience

+ 2+ years in a technical leadership or lead developer role

+ Proven experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

+ Strong programming skills in relevant languages (Java, Python, C#, etc.)

+ Experience with Power Platform

+ Excellent communication and team leadership abilities

+ Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

+ Knowledge of cloud platforms and microservices architecture

Security Clearance:

+ Secret Clearance required

Other Responsibilities:

+ Perform other duties as assigned
