Job description
Job Summary:
The Return Material Coordinator is responsible for handling customer returns by receiving, unpacking, and verifying units against RMA or order forms. Key duties include but are not limited to ensuring inventory accuracy per company standards and developing an optimal stockroom layout. The coordinator aligns stockroom processes with returns, tracks repair statuses, and monitors performance indicators to meet objectives.
Essential Job Functions:
• Receive, unpack, and verify incoming customer return units against RMA or order forms.
• Create routine documentation for receipts and equipment repair schedules.
• Manage Rental/Exchange inventory in Calexico and coordinate unit movements with customers and pool coordinators for efficient order processing.
• Ensure inventory accuracy in compliance with Safran Standards for Rental/Exchange inventory.
• Design stockroom layout considering the size, weight, and characteristics of stored items.
• Align stockroom processes with customer return activities.
• Coordinate, monitor, and update statuses on customer repairs and returns.
• Track key performance indicators and take necessary action to achieve objectives.
• Provide guidance on resolving customer return issues using established solutions and procedures.
• Recommend new processes or procedural improvements.
• Monitor and report on relevant metrics.
• Maintain thorough records.
• Uphold and continually enhance 5S standards in the stockroom.
• Be prepared to work beyond regular hours as necessary to manage workload demands.

Travel Specificity:
Potential travel between Irvine, California and other locations up to 10%.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position and frequently move about the office. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information. The ability to observe, identify and assess details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds across the office for various needs.
Work Environment:
The work environment is split between an office and stockroom environment, with possible exposure to dust particles and heat during the summer months. The noise level in the office and stockroom environment is typically quiet.
Experience in relevant Business sector:
Experience within the aerospace industry a plus not required.

Required Competencies:
Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proficient in interpreting invoice documents.
• Experienced with shipping management systems, transaction software, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Utilize basic software applications, including SAP, for record-keeping tasks.
