Entry-Level Transmission Line Engineer
This Opportunity
POWER Engineers, Member of WSP,is currently initiating a search for an Entry-Level Transmission Line Engineerfor our Fort Lauderdale, Florida office.Be involved in projects with our Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges.
Responsibilities
Your Impact
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
• The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
+ BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited university.
+ Minimum 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA).
+ Engineer In Training (EIT) registration is required.
+ The candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.
+ Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite.
+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
+ 0-1 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying.
+ Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering, is desirable.
