In this role, you'll apply understanding of the system product and user base to develop and deliver a comprehensive training experience to help users understand and routinely use complex software applications during laboratory and public health activities. Create training content, maintain and update existing training materials around system enhancements, facilitate training sessions with laboratory users, and gather and interpret training metrics through new and established evaluation methods. Master complex software applications to a sufficient level to prepare training programs and training materials, design training demonstrations, provide system demonstrations, develop course content, write communications about system functionality and program offerings, support the development of the team’s overarching training and communications methodology, and coordinate the development of training aids, ultimately improving the awareness and comprehension of the system and increasing user proficiency. Collaborate with a software development team to understand anticipated system changes to develop content for release notes, broadcasts and notifications, and training materials. Work under direct supervision.

Responsibilities
+ Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Design, develop, and deliver training experiences for software applications in laboratory and public health settings, customizing content based on user roles, skill levels, and system familiarity to ensure users can effectively and routinely use the systems.
+ Create and Update Training Materials: Develop and maintain training content, including user manuals, instructional guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and support the development of supplementary training aids such as videos, infographics, and multimedia resources to enhance user learning.
+ Facilitate Training Sessions and System Demonstrations: Deliver hands-on training sessions and system demonstrations to laboratory users, both in-person and via teleconference platforms, guiding them through system features and ensuring they can effectively use the system in their daily work.
+ Evaluate and Interpret Training Metrics: Gather, interpret, and analyze training metrics through new and established evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness of training sessions and identify areas for improvement.
+ Partner Cross-Functionally with Diverse Internal and External Teams: Build collaborative relationships to inform training strategy, gather technical and operational insights, and develop relevant educational content, user communications, and support resources that meet evolving user needs.
+ Support Communication Efforts: Develop communications about system functionality and program offerings, contributing to the team's overarching training and communications methodology to improve user awareness and comprehension of the system.
Qualifications
+ 3+ years of experience producing training content, lab processes, or education materials
+ 2+ years of experience hosting and presenting content on teleconference platforms
+ Experience creating instructional guides for IT systems or standard operating procedures (SOPs)
+ Experience creating announcements regarding program offerings, system updates, or new functionality
+ Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, with demonstrated proficiency in conducting teleconferences via Microsoft Teams
+ Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to facilitate training sessions and working groups, conduct presentations and demonstrations, interpret training evaluation data into meaningful insights and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
+ Ability to deliver work products that are publication-ready, without the need for additional copy-editing
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree
_Preferred:_
+ Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
+ Experience with data visualization tools, including PowerBI
+ Experience working with public health agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
+ Experience developing training materials for public health emergency response
+ Experience with qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods
+ Possession of excellent data gathering and analysis skills

Estimated Salary/Wage
USD $63,000.00/Yr. Up to USD $73,000.00/Yr.
