    Employment Type : Full-Time / Mon-Fri / 8:00am-5:00pm/ No Weekends, No Holidays

    About the Role:

    Novant Health is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to coordinate and assist healthcare providers in delivering safe, quality, and cost-effective care to our diverse patient population. This role emphasizes teamwork, community involvement, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion, ensuring that every patient receives remarkable care in every interaction.

    What You’ll be doing:

    + Coordinate and assist providers in delivering healthcare services.

    + Assist providers during exams and procedures

    + Take vital signs, obtain medical histories

    + Assist with patient form request ie FMLA or other needed forms.

    + Prepare patients and exam rooms for treatment

    + Ensure safe, quality, and cost-effective care for patients.

    + Foster a safe patient environment driven by the principles of "First Do No Harm."

    + Engage in teamwork and community involvement to enhance patient care.

    What we’re looking for:

    + Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

    + Medical Assistant Program: Graduate from an accredited program including pharmacology and medication administration.

    + Certification: Current certification as CMA, RMA, or CCMA, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

    + Experience: Previous work in a Medical Office is preferred but not required.

    + Skills: Ability to successfully complete skills validation and competency testing.

    + Language: Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

    What We're Looking For

     

    + Education:High School Diploma or GED, required.

    + Certified Medical Assistant requirements: Graduate of Certified Medical Assistant program. Certifications allowed through American Association of Medical Assistants. Registered Medical Assistant requirements:Registry allowed through Association of Medical Technologists.

    + Experience: Previous work in a medical setting, preferred

    + Licensure/Certification: Current certification as CMA or RMA, required.

    + Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
