• EPIC Trainer I - Ambulatory

    What We Offer

     

    The Epic Trainer plays a critical role in supporting Novant Health Medical Group (NHMG) team members by delivering high-quality training on the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. This position enhances team member competency in electronic documentation and ensures consistent, effective use of Epic across the organization.

     

    Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM.

     

    Department: Non-Acute Admin

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide comprehensive Epic training for all NHMG team members, including classroom and virtual sessions.

    + Drive competency in electronic documentation to improve patient care and operational efficiency.

    + Support Novant Health’s leadership in Epic EMR through ongoing delivery of training programs.

    + Monitor and maintain the Dimensions Ambulatory Training Program, ensuring compliance and effectiveness.

    + Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to identify training needs and implement solutions.

    Ideal Candidate:

    + Experience with Epic EMR systems and training delivery.

    + Strong communication and facilitation skills.

    + Ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt training methods to learner needs.

    + Healthcare or clinical background preferred

     

    What We're Looking For

     

    Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required.

     

    Experience: (required) Minimum two years education and training and/or minimum two years healthcare experience. Prior experience with EPIC applications preferred.

     

    Licensure/Certification: Credentialing in Epic product/platform, preferred.

    Additional Skills/Requirements (required):

    Knowledge of current and future trends/practices in education and training.

     

    Possess interpersonal relationship skills; experience in principles of adult learning and teaching methods/models, team/classroom facilitation; office and AV equipment; delegation and communication skills, resource management; understanding of customer needs and expectations and knowledge for improvement to exceed customer.

     

    Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed.
