Fire Extinguisher and Suppression Technician

Responsibilities:

+ Perform routine inspections and testing of fire extinguishers, fire suppression, and other fire protection equipment.

+ Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, making necessary repairs and replacements to ensure optimal functionality.

+ Conduct preventive maintenance to prolong the lifespan of fire extinguishers and minimize the risk of failures.

+ Document inspection and service activities accurately, maintaining detailed records of findings, repairs, and recommendations.

+ Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to coordinate service appointments and ensure timely completion of tasks.

+ Stay updated on industry regulations, codes, and best practices to ensure compliance and provide expert guidance to clients.

+ On-call rotation with other technicians to handle emergency service and inspection requests.

Qualifications:

+ Proven 2+ years experience with knowledge of fire extinguishers, and related equipment.

+ High School Diploma or equivalent required.

+ Ability to operate a computer, tablet and read electronic blueprints required.

+ Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.

+ Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.

+ Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

+ NICET or State certification required

+ BuildingReports software experience preferred.

+ ServiceTrade software experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

+ Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

+ Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work on a ladder.

Job Type:Full-time

Pay:$25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:8 hour shift - Monday to Friday
