Job Description

Wrapper/Utility Worker

Elizabeth, NJ

Compensation Includes

+ Starting Pay Rate of **$19.89/hour**

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently perform the following tasks:

+ Sweep aisles where machines are not in operation and your immediate work area

+ Ensure bales are completely sealed and adhere to the baling quality policy following all production order instructions

+ Palletize all bales of bags properly placing all labels in the required position following the quality procedure

+ Properly strap bales of bags which need to be multi-paks in accordance with the production order requirements

+ Use slip sheets for pallets requiring them in accordance with the quality standard

+ Clean up all straps on the production floor

+ Clean all spills in the baling production area

+ Keep all clutter off the production floor

+ Assure that the printing on the bales are meeting the quality standards

+ Change strapping on strappers when needed

+ Meet/achieve safety, quality, production waste and housekeeping goals set forth by management

+ Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

+ High School diploma or GED

+ Experience in a warehouse environment

+ Must be able to effectively communicate with other employees and management

+ Must have good eyesight (no colorblindness) to spot flaws in color comparison, print set-up, etc. as bags or film come off the production line

+ Able to properly use basic wrenches and tools

+ Must be able to read and write in English

+ Able to lift and carry 50 lbs
