Duties Description As a Business Officer 1 at Rochester Psychiatric Center, you will perform, coordinate, and oversee business, fiscal, and support service activities. Duties include:• Conducting financial analyses and making recommendations based on findings. • Identifying spending trends and preparing cost projections.• Reviewing and tracking expenditures and assisting in budget requests. • Monitoring inventory and reviewing/approving purchase requests. • Overseeing contract and grant administration activities and procurement processes

Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Business Officer 1 if they have 6 years of professional experience in the administration of a business office or program, including responsibility for one or more of the following areas: accounting, budgeting, contract administration, and purchasing.Substitution: An associate's degree can substitute for two years of specialized experience; a bachelor’s degree can substitute for four years of experience; a master’s degree in a related field can substitute for five years of experience; and a doctorate in a related field can substitute for six years of experience.
