Job Description:
The department secretary will provide a variety of computer, clerical, and supply functions for the department including general clerical responsibilities, internal and external customer relation tasks, maintain department records, filing systems, oversees the inventory, ordering of office supplies and controlling and handling department orders. Also handles written and verbal communication between all customers as appropriate. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
High School graduate or equivalent
Completion of a two-year secretarial program or two years of college education with two years of secretarial experience.
Essential Role Responsibilities
1. Work with physician offices to schedule PAT visits
2. Knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and spreadsheet applications
3. Complete chart audits
3. Contact surgical offices for missing documentation
4. Call patients with pre-surgery instructions
5. Request outside records
6. Work with staff helping to follow up on requests
7. Help with coordinating the weekly PAT clinic schedule for all staff (NP, RN, MA, and Surgical Liaisons)
Pay Range:
$20.00 - $26.92
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
