Position Overview
The Leader of Cloud will own the end-to-end strategy and execution for cloud services and business intelligence within P&G. This role involves influencing significant organizational changes and shaping the company’s technological future. The leader will collaborate with senior leaders to define and implement strategies that enhance business operations through advanced cloud solutions and data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead P&G's cloud strategy, setting corporate direction for future success.
+ Accountable for Cloud architecture and resiliency, operations and reliability, engineering and security compliance of P&G multi-cloud infrastructure that runs P&G business
+ Lead FinOps for cloud optimization and value creation
+ Lead an organization of 120 employees globally and a ~$200 million budget
+ Drive the execution of cloud projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
+ Build and manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners to maintain access to the best tools and services in the industry.
+ Collaborate with senior leaders to influence key organizational, business, and technology decisions.
Job Qualifications
+ 15+ years’ experience in technical leadership roles in a Company of similar size of P&G or if consultancy /start up that works with a company of comparable size to P&G
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar, Master’s preferred
+ Previous practitioner and leadership experience in a combination of Operations, engineering, architecture roles with Azure and GCP (preferred) or AWS
+ Experience as a practitioner and leader in multi-cloud environment (ideally Azure and GCP); ability to articulate a multi-cloud decision tree and data affinity consideration
+ Master of FinOps at infrastructure, application, and platform layers.
+ Experience with both Virtual Machines and Cloud Native (containers / serverless)
+ Experience in cloud application patterns for applications/platforms at a large enterprise-scale (e.g. large ERP in SAP, Core data platforms) such as:
+ Leveraging regions & availability zones as building blocks for High Availability and Disaster recovery strategies
+ Designing resilient architectures working with platform and application teams, ensuring alignment with business availability, scalability, and cost tradeoffs. Can explain how to achieve a given RTO/RPO – and give example of choices of risk vs cost
+ Experience in governing Disaster Recovery and can explain how to test DR
+ Knowledge of establishing Site Reliability Engineering practices including automation, SLOs and observability;
+ Experience in architecting and engineering compute patterns cross-cloud for data workloads without having to duplicate data across the clouds.
Preferred qualifications
+ Experience in establishing immutable backup and recovery strategies to protect against ransomware, data loss, and operator error
+ Experience in hyperconverged infrastructure and on hybrid-cloud, where cloud services are extended to the edge. Can explain how to architect those solutions and implications on resiliency, including in support of automation and AI.
+ Experience with leveraging AI/ Agentic AI for cloud infrastructure and security design
